Metrika Rents Warehouse in Shushary

Chain of hypermarkets ‘Metrika’ has rented a warehouse space in terminal-logistics centre ‘Evrosib-Terminal-Sgusgary’. ASTERA, an alliance member of BNP Paribas Real Estate, has consulted the transaction on behalf of the owner. The storage of DIY-chain will be arranged on 5’000 sq. m of rented space.

Terminal-logistics centre ‘Evrosib-Terminal-Shushary’ is located at the intersection of the Ring Road and Moskovskoe highway. This centre was commissioned in 2008. Total area of class A warehouse is 20’000 sq.m. At the present moment all space of class A in terminal-logistics centre ‘Evrosib-Terminal-Sgusgary’ is occupied.

According to Vera Boikova, the Head of Tenant’s Division at ASTERA, an alliance member of BNP Paribas Real Estate, quick rate of growth of demand for warehouse space against the low level of new projects commissioning leads to active reduction of vacancy rate in warehouse complexes of St. Petersburg. By the end of Q1 2011 the vacancy rate in warehouse projects of class A has made not more than 10%, and in warehouse projects of class B+ and B – 5%.
