19 december 2012“Miratorg” opens its first supermarket in St. Petersburg with ASTERA’s assistance
A Miratorg supermarket to be opened in February, 2013 on 25 Egorova Street with assistance of ASTERA, an alliance member of BNP Paribas Real Estate. The very first shop of the retail chain occupies 1 630 sq.m, the value of investment is 30 000 000 rubles.
"The company is going to continue selling their products via the retail chain to independent retailers and wholesalers. The key objective of opening of the supermarket chain is to give our customers the opportunity to buy high quality goods in good condition at an attractive price and within the short period of time – from the fields right to the counters. Those who are interested in another product groups wouldn’t be disappointed as our stores provide a wide range of goods of all types", - said Dmitriy L’govskiy, AIH Miratorg, the Chief Communications Officer.
The share of the company’s own products will be up to 25% of their total assortment alongside a broad range of products of other manufacturers – from 8 to 12 thousand brand names.
The chosen location has an array of beneficial characteristics. The residential building, which was built in 2012 upon the site of the old manufactories, is situated in the historic center of the city, in close proximity to main arterial roads and two subway stations. At the same time, this place has no traffic jams and a parking space is always available.
"Considering the lack of quality trade area near main arterial roads, major tenants have been frequently focusing on the streets adjoining to the key trade corridors including Egorova Street. In spite of the fact that Egorova street has not been much desirable among main street retailers, the premise has an optimal ratio between price, location and quality. Undoubtedly, the project is meant to be successful. The store will become an anchor tenant not only for the residential building but for the whole surrounding area as well. Opening the store of Miratorg will trigger the development of quality trade infrastructure”, - Olga Atkachis, head of the Retail Department at ASTERA, pointed out.
Miratorg is one of the leading companies on Russian food products market. The company has opened 31 shops so far, predominantly in Moscow and Moscow Oblast, and the number of them is increasing. In 2013 Miratorg is going to open 40 stores in St. Petersburg and the suburbs.
