A new store ORTEKA was opened on Nevsky Prospekt

Network of orthopedic supply stores ORTEKA rented space with the total area of 135 sq. m. on Nevsky Prospekt 122. This is the 11th store of the network opened in St. Petersburg. ASTERA an alliance member of BNP Paribas Real Estate acted as a broker of this transaction. In 2014 the operator is planning to introduce to the market at least another two objects.

"Historically, St. Petersburg is a home of orthopedic goods in Russia. A few large manufacturing companies are based here. They supply medical equipment across the country. Level of competition on Saint Petersburg orthopedic market is on the average four times higher than on Moscow one, despite smaller number of residents, "- said Dmitry Krivonogov , director of retail network of ORTEKA Company in Saint Petersburg.

The consultant chose the facility on Nevsky Prospekt to replace premises at the intersection of Ulyana Gromova Street and Vosstaniya Street. The previous location did not promote the development of retail outlet and did not meet the expectations of the operator. The new facility, on a contrary, has all the necessary characteristics: central location, immediate vicinity to a number of medical institutions, display windows, the optimal planning for two halls. The main retail space occupies 60 sq. m.

The second part of the premises will accommodate a single-brand goods department of Bauerfeind, Deutsch brand.
In a new store on Nevsky 122, visitors will be proposed to take instant diagnosis and get professional medical advice. Traditionally, ORTEKA provides these services to its clients free of charge.

ORTEKA orthopedic stores of Class "medium / medium +" work on Russian retail market since 1997. Today in Moscow and St. Petersburg 36 outlets are open, and the operator continues its development. The company is the official supplier of more than 20 leading brands of orthopedic goods from Europe, the USA and Russia. Moreover, in the capital, where there are 25 stores functioning, a group of companies has its own production of orthopedic pillows and mattresses under the Trelax trademark.

"Vosstaniya Square is one of the most liquid areas in the city. Considering the specificity of the operator’s activity and the needs of potential customers, the main factors in selection of premises for a new store were walk access distance from the metro station, good visual characteristics, the location on the ground floor of the building, and absence of stairs, preventing access to the main building. All these factors will allow ORTEKA to attract necessary target audience and to achieve all assigned business goals" - said Lilia Pavlova, Head of Customer Service Department at ASTERA an alliance member of BNP Paribas Real Estate
