Updated Shopping Centre «Mitino» Opens in 2012

ASTERA, an alliance member of BNP Paribas Real Estate, has signed a brokerage agreement for the first and the second construction phases of shopping centre ‘Mitino’. The second phase of the shopping centre is planned to open in May 2012, and in summer re-concept of the first phase shall be performed. The updated centre with the total area of 10’000 sq.m. is to welcome its visitors in September this year.

Shopping centre ‘Mitino’ was opened in 2001 and was one of the first shopping centres in the district. Since its opening ‘Mitino’ has been popular among the district residents due to the universal tenants pool and convenient location in the central square of Mitino at the entrance to the underground station. The centre can be conveniently accessed by car both from Pyatnitskoe highway, and directly from the Moscow Ring Road. Average attendance of the shopping centre makes 8’000 people per day. Tenants pool consists of famous companies, such as L’Etoile, LUSH, Svyaznoj, Valtera, English First, Evroset, Gipfel, Elki-Palki restaurant, etc. According to the second phase concept, a restaurant with independent entrance is planned to be arranged in the basement, the first floor is already filled with tenants, the 2nd and 3rd floors shall accommodate clothes and shoe shops, stores of goods for kids, accessories and other retail operators. The 4th floor shall be rented for offices.

According to Olga Zbrueva, the Head of Client’s Division in ASTERA, an alliance member of BNP Paribas Real Estate, shopping centre ‘Mitino’ was already popular among the retailers before reconstruction thanks to its beneficial transport location in the centre of a large residential quarter, and therefore, constant flow of visitors. Commissioning of the second phase and re-concept of the complex has caused an advanced flow of new applications for rentable space in this project.
