Grocery store chain “Real” expands its presence on Saint Petersburg market. On the 13th of March the company opened its 27th store in Primorsky District in Saint Petersburg. The investments amounted to approximately 7 million rubles. ASTERA an alliance member of BNP Paribas Real Estate acted as a consultant of the transaction and assisted in finding premises.
In order to open a new store the company chose premises with total area of 406 sq.m on 37, Savushkina Street in Primorsky District in Saint Petersburg. According to Igor Yankovsky, CEO of LLC Trade House “Real”, the place was chosen because of its history. Since Soviet times there was a store in this building. Moreover, this location has other great advantages: Savushkina Street is a large transport and retail corridor which will allow the store receiving steady customer flow. In turn the customer flow will include not only residents of the neighboring districts, but also buyers of other districts who often visit the area around Chernaya Rechka and Staraya Derevnya metro stations. The store is located in walking distance from both stations.
“In the current year our company is planning to open not less than 10 stores in Saint Petersburg. Also we would like to open outlets in Leningrad region,” – notes Igor Yankovsky.
LLC Trade House “Real” was established in 2009. The first grocery supermarket was opened in March, 2010. Since then, every year several new stores have been set up in Saint Petersburg. At the moment a group of companies “Real” is a multidiscipline holding company which includes distribution, logistics and its proper retail chain. More than 600 thousand customers serve the stores of the chain monthly. Assortment matrix counts more than 10 thousand articles. The average check in the store estimates 300 rubles.
“Our main advantage is clean stores with competitive prices situated nearby. Our credo is multi-format: we try to give our customers an opportunity to satisfy their demands at most in any premises”, - adds Igor Yankovsky.
“Savushkina Street is a residential district with high buying activity where grocery stores of “convenience store” format will be always in demand. Currently “Real” Company almost has no competition in this location. According to ASTERA analysts, in 2014 the southern part of Primorsky District of Saint Petersburg will remain popular among food retailers due to continuous expansion of this district with new housing estate”, - states Liliya Pavlova, Head of Client Relations Department at ASTERA an alliance member of BNP Paribas Real Estate.
