13 august 2014With ASTERA participation ‘Detsky Mir’ opens a new store in Moscow
New two-storey outlet under ‘Detsky Mir’ brand has opened its doors for customers on Menzhinskogo street, 38, building 2 (Babushkinskaya metro station). The area of the store is 2700 sq.m. ASTERA an alliance member of BNP Paribas Real Estate acted as a consultant in terms of finding premises.
‘The chain opened a new concept store where upgraded retail equipment was represented and new standards of merchandising and interior design were brought together. Interactive zones will entertain children as well as adults’, - tells Nadezhda Kiseleva, director of Public Affairs Office of Detsky Mir Group.
‘Previously, Detsky Mir occupied a facility on the opposite side of the street. Relocation to a new place allowed the store to double its retail space and to keep the audience at the same time. High customer traffic will be provided due to the favorable location in the immediate vicinity from the metro station and residential area’, - comments Alexey Filimonov, CEO at ASTERA an alliance member of BNP Paribas Real Estate.
On August 8, 2014 after the reconstruction a new Detsky Mir concept hypermarket was opened in MEGA Khimki shopping mall. The area of the store amounts to 3300 sq.m.
Thus, as of today Detsky Mir retail chain accounts for 241 super- and hypermarkets located in 108 cities of Russia and Kazakhstan. Gross leasable area of all stores of the chain exceeds 338 thou. sq.m.
In the chain stores a wide range of goods is represented for children aged from 0 to 12 such as, clothes and shoes, baby items and infant nutrition, toys for boys and girls, supplies for infant development, for schoolchildren and teenagers.
